The history behind the MP3Z2CD Website
A bit of history about myself and how all this got started. A few years ago I worked as a club d/j for the Baileys organisation also at Tiffanys in Derby, having been totally fed up with the 'scene' around this area I worked for a couple of years in clubs around Birmingham before saying enough is enough.
So here I was years later getting on the www and finding programs like Napster, after replacing a load of my old cassette material with cd quality tracks, I started playing around and one day did a search for "Northern Soul", the rest as they say is history.
I found not only a huge archive of music I didn't know anything about, but also a great crowd of collectors, some of who I got to know personally. The outcome was that I wanted to share my collection of music and spread the word, so today I run the largest Northern Soul audio group on Yahoo and also this site.
To see what Northern Soul (dancing) is like, see YouTube (opens in a new window).
How to get Northern Soul, 60's and 70's MP3's.
I
can send the odd track or four via email, if you want loads, then I can either burn you a CD (Audio or MP3) or, drop them into a folder and share them via Rapidshare or Foldershare (a small charge may be made for my time).
To create your list, copy the whole of the track details line, for example:
BOBBY PARIS I WALKED AWAY MP3 A - J 3
Then drop it into an email if you're only after a few tracks or, a new Excel sheet saving it as a CSV file and build your list that way, save the sheet then
.
Here's the list in artist order, updated July 2007
If there are tracks listed as 45, LP, CA then I might not be able to get them to you.
